Havelock (Swaraj Dweep) island is reached by private or government-operated ferries from Port Blair, the nearest city with airport. The last ferry from Port Blair leaves at 1400 hrs. Ensure your flight lands before 1230 hrs to be able to check-in on the same day.

THINGS TO DO AT HAVELOCK

Scuba Diving

The Mecca of Scuba in India. Learn to dive in a couple of days and experience the magic beneath. For all levels of divers. Visit our own dive shop at SeaShell.

Minerva Ledge is a famous dive site, which usually has good visibility for the divers to splash in. Tourists often visit here for the possibility of spotting Leopard sharks.

Dixon’s Pinnacle is another location that offers a variety of sea life. Some rare species include Barracudas, Giant Napoleon turtles, white-tip shark, tube corals and sponges.

Snorkeling

Havelock offers some of the best sites for snorkeling. The tourists may bring their own snorkeling accessories, or may rent out the fins and masks from the local shops at very affordable rates. Radhanagar Beach and Elephant Beach are known for their multiple reefs perfect for Snorkeling fun. South Button Island is another place where the reef is shallow, colourful and very vibrant. There are frequent boat rides from almost every beach taking you to the good sites.

Mangrove Safari & Fishing

Havelock island offers dense mangroves that allow for exploration. Mix this activity with fishing and taste all the flavors of the leisurely paced island life here. The local fishermen allow the fishing line for their guests during some specific hours.
